Playing RAMC

 

My impression of early 1980s British Royal Army Medical Corps soldier from Parachute Clearing Troop, 16 Field Ambulance. Displayed during IMVG Military Show at Naas Racecouse, Co. Kildare 20-21 June 2014:

Clothing: Maroon beret of airborne forces with RAMC other ranks cap badge, 1977 pattern parachute smock, 1958 pattern belt, olive green combat trousers and (not visible on photograph, but soles visible on ‘casualty’) DMS ankle boots with puttees.

Clothing: Maroon beret of airborne forces with RAMC other ranks cap badge, woollen shirt, 1968 pattern lightweight jungle trousers, high leg combat boots. Parachute Field Ambulance stable belt with lanyard.

Clothing: Maroon beret of airborne forces with RAMC other ranks cap badge, 1977 pattern parachute smock (with RAMC shoulder flash and parachute qualification wings on right sleeve), 1958 pattern belt, 1968 pattern lightweight jungle trousers, high leg combat boots (not visible on photograph).
